Playing xbox 360 games without disk?

Alright, here’s the deal.

Every day when my mother goes to work, she takes all of my xbox games with her so I can’t play. I know, I know, suck it up and listen to her, etc. She wants me to do schoolwork all day (I attend online high school) because she thinks I’m behind. I’m not. In fact, I’m graduating a year early with a 4.0 average. For some reason, this isn’t good enough (don’t even get me started on inadequacy here). But as I finish my day’s coursework in 4-5 hours, I’d like to play my games in the downtime I have while she’s at work. Is there any way I can save them to my console without having to use the disk to play them? They’re all one-player, offline games (Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed, etc.). I have the 360 slim 4gb, but I can use flash drives to add additional memory if need be. Thanks for answering.

  1. you can download them to the xbox by the disk, however thats just incase the disk gets scratched and wont work, but you still need to have the disk in. the only way you can do that is by buying the game with Microsoft points and downloading it to the xbox.so you’d basically have to buy the game again.

  2. You’ll need to go get a hard drive for your 360. This won’t work with flash drives.

You can copy the game to the hard drive but it still needs the disc to start the game (after that it plays entirely from the hard drive.)

One sneaky thing to do – not that I condone sneakiness – is put the disc into the 360. Start the game. Pause. Eject the the disc – it’s not needed anymore. Leave the 360 on! So long as the 360 isn’t turned off, and you don’t quit back to the main system menu, it won’t care you’ve removed the disc.

Another option, again, requires the hard drive, is log on to Live (a free account is fine – you don’t need a Gold one) Under Games you can buy games that download directly to your hard drive. Note that your disc version of Skyrim is considered to be a different game than the downloadable version of Skyrim even though they contain the same stuff, so your existing save games may not work.

  4. what you could do is download the games from the xbox live game marketplace, you could sell the games on the disc them buy them from the xbox with the money you got from selling the game
