  1. the sony dual shock 3 ps3 controller uses bluetooth so why would you need a dongle? if you have a third party brand that can use bluetooth it would have that built in too

a dongle would only be used for a third party ps3 controller than used infrared wireless and if you have a wired controller a dongle will not help , it uses a wired connection only

  2. You could through a cord but I’m guessing that’s not what you want? Alternatively you could buy a PlayStation port that connects to the PC and acts like the receiver on a Ps3. They’re expensive and rare though. 🙁

  3. So my VAIO computer (windows 8.1) has bluetooth on it, so I’m wondering if I can pair my PS3 controller without a bluetooth dongle. I have my computer hooked up to my TV and I’m playing games and it’s all nice, except I have to sit at the end of my bed hunched over b/ my controller is connected to my computer! I’d like to be able to play it now though instead of waiting to buy a dongle, ya know? I thought I read somewhere before I actually got my controller to work that you could, but now I can’ find it.

    I use motioninjoy & Better DS3

    thanks!
