  1. I only bought the original game on Steam. So far I've just left Midgar.

Would be interesting to see Cloud dressed as a girl, the almost never ending stair climb in Shinra building done in the remake. Maybe the stair climbing will become a cutscene instead? I hope not, but since the idea of a remake is to introduce new players to the game, I don't think they'll have the 'tedious' stair climb in game. I can also imagine why this remake is taking long as well.

  2. Please, Square, I beg of you. Everything else from my childhood has been fucked by remakes. Please don't take Final Fantasy away from me too.

  3. WHAT'S WITH THOSE MOTHAF**KING SUNGLASSES???

Either this will be a huge success, or a huge failure. Kudos for the music tho. I'm expecting some badass OST. Also I would LOVE to see Cloud's Omnislash with this much horsepower.

  4. For those who say Action-based style gameplay is just button-mashing, etc…..

I don't get you. If you button mash in an action RPG, then you're an idiot. Striking the opponent head-on with button-mashing does you no good. You need to learn how to use the dodge command button and other stuff, unless you wanna die really quick.

For me, the only Turn-Based RPGs that requires you to put your brains into action are Strategy RPGs. A normal Turn-based RPG needs only for you to come up with small strategies to provide greater damage, know elemental weaknesses, and healing. In fact, Turn-based RPGs are all relatively easier than an Action-based RPG because unlike in an action RPG, opponents have a chance of missing you without even dodging, while in an actual action RPG, your opponent will only miss WHEN YOU DODGE. And healing is easier in an a turn-based RPG, wherein in an action RPG, you need to try and distance yourself from the enemy first to heal.

  5. I love FFVII so much but honestly this game looks like a disappointment. A re-hash with fancy graphics just doesn't sound super fun to me. I think it'll feel paltry compared to the original. Sorry to be a downer, haha.
