Wireless mode “grayed out” on Xbox 360?

Alright, so I just I just got the wireless network adapter for the xbox 360, and when I connect it, it has the steady red light, however the options for wireless mode are unavailable and a grayed out. When clicked it just beeps, nothing else. I’ve tried all of these (none of them worked),

I’ve tried all of these (none of them worked), so if you can help me out that would be great.

By the way, I have a secured network and if I need to enter the password on the xbox please tell me how.

-Tried windows connect now, could not save.

-Restored to factory defaults.

-Entered the DNS and IP settings

-Called customer support

-Moved the console from upstairs to downstairs (where there is a much stronger connection

Nothing has worked. If you get it to work for me, you get (YAY YOU!)

I have a linksys wrt300n router and a motorola sb5100 modem. Although I doubt the router is the problem, as I need wireless mode to actually gain access to the router.

  1. Call 1-800-4MYXBOX

You have to go through the whole stupid assessment, but once they finally ask you and you tell them what the problem is, they will send you a new adapter.
