I went from nintendo to Playstation 3, I don’t know what games to buy. ( I know I don’t like call of duty) I previously onwed a gamecube (i’m not a hardcore gamer, well not anymore ayway). Some of the games I’ve previously played are all of the zelda games, all of the kirby games, donkey kong 1, 2, and 3, the pac-man games (which were really annoying), all of megaman x games, spyro, harvest moon, eternal darkness and pikmin, golden sun, and lunar Ps1 games that i’ve played Tomb raider 2, parasite eve 1 and 2, medievil, spyro, xenogears, legend of legaia, legend of dragoon, perfect weapon (which I never liked). I’ve also played The sims and the sims 3

  1. Kind of wondering why you moved to PS3 when you like Nintendo franchises and seem to have a tendency to not like the annualized third party crap. Wii U is there for you if you want to bite. 🙂

  2. Games you might want to try (many have demos on PSN)

Platformers: Ratchet & Clank series (including the remastered collection from the PS2), Little Big Planet 2.

3rd Person Adventure Games: Tomb Raider, Uncharted series.

RPGs: Final Fantasy X/X2 Remastered. Final Fantasy XIII. “Tales Of.” games, Star Ocean, Atlier series. Dragon Crown.

Misc other games: PSN has a lot of small games that you might be interested in such as Journey or Dust: An Eslysian Tale.

If you purchase a PS Plus subscription ($50/year) you will gain access to free games every month plus special sales. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth. Games download directly to your PS3.

  3. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are geared more towards hardcore gamers and FPS (first person shooter) gamers. However, there’s a diverse selection to choose from. The Uncharted series is great. It’s a mix of Adventure and third person shooter, but has a few puzzle elements. It’s very highly rated and recommended. Portal and Portal 2 are amazing puzzle games and very highly regarded. Like platformers (Mario and Kirby)? LittleBigPlanet 2 is perfect then. It plays the same, but with several very creative additions. The art style is great, but the star is the level editor. It’s VERY robust. Even if you never make levels, there’s endless user-made levels to download, including Mario remakes. GTA V is great, you should know what you’re getting with any GTA game but V has great online play. Another platformer is Braid, and indie game that is acclaimed all over, but I haven’t played it so I can’t say much. Infamous (2) is awesome, with an open world, good story, and cool powers to choose from. Rayman Legends is another platformer, but again I haven’t played it. Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper are 3D Platformers (like Mario 64/Galaxy style) that again are highly recommended. If you’re willing to try other FPS games, Borderlands 2 is an RPG+FPS and is a great game with funny voice acting, Mass Effect 1 2 and 3 are hugely popular, Bioshock Infinite is a game with a crazy story and beautiful graphics, Far Cry 3 is an amazing island survival game with tons of content. Nintendo makes some unique games, so it’s hard to replicate their games. Minecraft? Free games like Tekken Revolution and DC Universe exist. If anything, the Wii U offers Nintendo games, but it’s more expensive. Just take a brief look at videos or screenshots of some of the games I mentioned and maybe you’ll like some!

  4. Thee are multiple tomb raider games for ps3, just so you know.

My favorite games are fallout 3 and fallout new vegas. I would recommend them any day. they are as hardcore or as easy going as you want them to be depending on your skill, and have a large open map so you can explore for days and still not find everything. the elder scroll series is the same way, made by the same company, and is also a recommendation of mine. there’s oblivion, skyrim, and elder scrolls online that are available on ps3. I also recommend the disgaea series which is a turn by turn Japanese title and are extremely long if you like leveling and storyline.

  5. You can try Little Big Planet 1 and 2, Sonic Adventure, PixelJunk Eden, Mega Man 8, Sonic Generations, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Ratchet and Clank, Final Fantasy Xm X2, Skyrim, and Borderlands to name a few.

  6. I also went from nintendo to ps3. And my favorite games are/were

4 I liked beyond 2 souls and that other movie like game.

5 God of war was fun

    6. Elder scrolls. I played religiously for months than stopped and never played again.

    7. Unfinished swan. (another downloadable short game with really good production value)

theres one game i know was my favorite, but dang it was a while back and i cannot remember. Oh Ya, NI NO Kuni.starts off slow but wow, this game encompasses all.

  7. If you like Legend of Zelda you might like the Final Fantasy series.
