cant update my firmware?

i cant update my firmware to 6.20 it says that “system is version 9.90” [O.O]

i have 5.50 gen-d3 and i downloaded official 6.20 version into my pc so i puted it in psp and its saying that i have 9.90 -.- anyone know what should i do tho get official 6.20 firmware?

  1. 5.50 GEN D-3 means your PSP is running custom firmware (CFW). If you want to update to official firmware (OFW) you will need to change your version.txt and then you can update. See this video for more instructions: [url is not allowed].

  2. That’s because custom firmware prevents official firmware from working.

    So you need to ask the one who made the custom firmware.

  3. yeah you have custom firmware , u are running the risk of being banned , do not connect to sonys servers as they will see the ps3 and ban you

  4. 1. Press select in xmb and where it says usb device change it from memory stick to flash0, connect to computer.

    2. Don’t touch anything in the usb, just search for the file,X:vshetc version.txt.

    3. Open it up and change release number from 9.90 to 5.50.

    4. Change usb device back to memory stick.

    5. Finish!

    use manual update OFW
