I’m looking to buy a new hard drive but I was wondering:

1) How do you put your game data on the new drive?

2) Does it lower the PS3 quality in any way (picture and functioning)?

3) Does it work the same as the original hard drive?

Any help is appreciated

  1. 1) You first need to save all your game data on a flash/USB drive. Then when you get you new drive, hook up the Flash/USB drive and load all your saved game data.

2)No, it will not lower the quality in any way.

    3) Yes, it will work the same as the original hard drive!

PS: Can you plezz pick me as best answer cuz come on dude.I’m a girl who knows this stuff!!

  2. yes the new hard drive is just like the old one it just has more hdd space everything will be the same just more hdd space make sure its at least a

320 gb 5400 rpm 2.5 inch sata drive

i found one for 80 bucks

you could get a 500 gb but i think its 2 much space

  3. 1) You have to backup your data to an external disk (either a thumb drive or USB hard disk) – just plug it into one of the USB ports, and then you can select your data and copy it.

    2) No, the quality stays the same.

    3) It works the same as the old disk. But bigger.
